Lake Louise Horseback Ride gets great review...

Hi Brewster Adventures,
My daughter Kathy and I wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our 4 hour ride up and down the mt. at lake Louise last Friday 23rd. The weather was perfect and how could the scenery be any more lovely. By the time we reached the "tea house we were" exercized" to say the least--even though we are seasoned riders.

There were three other experienced riders also and it made for fun-company. Coming down the mountain was quite challenging, but we felt safe and well taken care of by our guide "Matt" and your wonderful sure footed horses. What made the trip even more enjoyable was how communicative and imformative the guide Matt was and how well he cared for the horses.

Congrats on well trained horses and great guides.

Backcountry Horseback Trip Gets Good Review...

Thank you to Ron and the team at Brewsters for our 2 day day backcountry ride in August 2011.  This was an experience of a lifetime for us and being horse people we appreciated how well cared-for the horses werre and how well they handled some really tough terrain.  Magnificent scenery, drinking from crystal clear streams, peaceful surrounds, and great company made the trip worth flying from Australia for.  We will always treasure the 2 days and even Ron's baked beans!  Once again, thanks for the experience.

A Wonderful Horseback Trip...

Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed my trip with you. I learned to trust my horse and was able to relax and enjoy the most unbelievable scenery I have ever seen. Pictures cannot do it justice.  By the end of the ride I was very proud of myself and again have to thank our guide Ron - his knowledge and presence was a very great help to me.

Shirley and I are already planning another trip. Again, thank you for a wonderful vacation. It was a once in a lifetime experience.

Bud Brewster Featured in Recent Issue of Canadian Cowboy Country

An article appeared in the Living Legends section of Canadian Cowboy Country (June 2011), titled "A Hat and a Hammer - Bud Brewster's Tourism Legacy in the Canadian Rockies" by Tracey Feist

"When John Brewster came to 'Siding 29' in 1886 to start a dairy, little did he know the profound impact his family would have on Banff becoming a world-class tourist destination. And it would be one salient great-grandson who would step forward to continue building his family’s legacy in order to keep backcountry hikers, horseback riders and guest ranch aficionados coming back to Canada’s oldest national park.

Bud Brewster did not take his family name for granted, but rather, took the foundation his father and grandfather had begun and simply began building..."

Six generations of Brewsters have shared the mountains with the world...

by Annalise Klingbeil, AlbertaVenture.com

Only about 30 per cent of family-run businesses make it to the second generation, and just 10 per cent survive to see the third generation take over operations. The chances of having a fifth generation continuing to run the business are slim – that is, unless you’re a Brewster. The Brewsters have been in business since 1892...

From the Bow Valley to Texas

Alberta may be the spiritual home of rodeos in Canada, but the American South is the spiritual home of rodeos worldwide. So while the Alberta college rodeo season takes a break until February, Lacey Brewster Stanton has set up shop right in the middle of rodeo country and has been garnering some impressive barrel racing results.

Brewster Stanton, who grew up just outside of Canmore, is presently riding her horses just outside of Stephenville, Texas and earlier this month raced in the world's biggest futurity event, the Barrel Futurity of America World Championships in Oklahoma City.
