Lacey Brewster Stanton Wins Championship

Edmonton:  Lacey Brewster Stanton has won the 2012 Canadian Intercollegiate Rodeo Association Barrel Racing Championship, riding her six year old mare ‘Tipsy’. The two won all three go-rounds over the three day College Rodeo Finals competition were participants from Western Canada compete for national titles after qualifying in the top 10 for the College Rodeo Season. ‘ Lotsa Cocktails’ or Tipsy (her Barn name) is a quarter horse out of Corona Cocktail by Lotsa Red who is by Red.

Lacey is presenting working on her Bachelor of Equine Science through Breyer State University based in California and also working on an Equine Osteopathy designation from Vluggen Institute.  She is training horses and teaching lessons on the Family Ranch at Seebe.

 This is Lacey ‘s second trip to the finals as she was also the 2009 Barrel Racing Season Leader in the College Association, and recently won the Olds Alumni Rodeo earlier this spring on the same horse.
